Knights of Honor 2 Release Coming Soon!!!
Black Sea Games will be releasing Knights of Honor 2 sometime soon! Currently, they haven't stamped an official release day let. However, it's very likely we could see the release of the sequel sometime in 2018!
They have already released a work in progress screenshot of the game recently on their facebook. The screenshot appears to be of northern Greece provinces. Take a look at it your self below.
Whats Knights Of Honor?
Knights Of Honor is at the top of my list of the best medieval war strategy games I've ever played. This game manages to balance RTS and Grand Strategy better than any other game I have ever played period. The creators of the game somehow managed to blend the action mechanics that you find in games like Age of Empires perfectly with the strategy and diplomacy depth of games like Crusader Kings.
This game had been around for years before I heard about it and gave it a try. My reaction after not being about to play anything else for weeks was simply how have I not heard about this game until now! Somehow this game has been around since 2004! Yet most of the fanbase has just begun to hear about it. Certainly, the fact the game somehow flew under the radar for so long is why we are just now in 2018 finally posed to be able to play the sequel.
KOH 2 News Legit?
Yes, we can, in fact, trust the news given the same people they made Knights Of Honor are behind Black Sea Games. At the time they released KOH 1 they were called Black Sea Studios Ltd. That studio was later brought out and renamed Creative Assembly Sofia. Which was later was rebranded as Crytek Black Sea. To make a long story short In November 2016, Vesselin Handjiev the founder or the original Black Sea Studios which made KOH left and shortly after announced the formation of a new game studio company called Black Sea Games. It was also revealed Michael Peykov would also be part of the new studio as well. Michael was involved in basically all aspects of the technical side of game creation on the original game and has worked with Vesselin for over 20 years. They soon revealed they had something in the works for a sequel of the long-standing hit Knights Of Honor.I will Keep You Updated
That's all I have for now but I will update this post as soon as I have any new information. In the meantime, if you have not tried the original game I would suggest giving it a shot. It's easily the most underrated Medieval War game that I am currently aware of. I do have some possible artwork for sequel below enjoy!
